Our chapter recently had the incredible opportunity to host a Microsoft Fireside Chat, featuring a guest speaker who shared her inspiring journey from completing her bachelor’s degree in India to pursuing her MBA in the United States and now building a thriving career at Microsoft. Hearing her story reminded me how powerful education, resilience, and mentorship can be, especially for young professionals navigating their early career paths.
Throughout the conversation, she highlighted how her mentors and professional connections opened doors at every stage of her journey. From adapting to a new academic environment to leveling up within a competitive industry like tech, she emphasized the importance of consistently seeking guidance, nurturing authentic relationships, and staying open to growth. Her transparency and encouragement resonated with many of us, especially those preparing for internship recruitment, graduate school, and future leadership roles.
After the event, brothers and pledges had the chance to network with her one-on-one. It was amazing seeing everyone engage, ask thoughtful questions, and build meaningful connections. Events like these show how valuable our fraternity network truly is, bringing real-world perspectives directly to us.
