Welcome to Delta Sigma Pi, Upsilon Psi

America’s largest professional fraternity.

To all our future brothers-

As we prepare for another exciting academic year, I encourage each of you to reflect on what you want your college experience to look like. Consider the opportunities you want to pursue, the connections you hope to build, and the impact you want to make during your time at the University of Washington Bothell.

Through professional development, networking, leadership experience, mentorship, and lifelong connections, members are given the tools to build successful careers and become impactful leaders. With all of our resources, our goal as a professional organization is to connect our brothers with the opportunities and network needed to succeed beyond graduation.

As we continue to grow, my vision is to build a chapter known for its excellence and recognized for the caliber of professionals it develops. We will continue to challenge one another, support one another, and raise the standard of what it means to be a brother of Delta Sigma Pi.

Why Us?

The Upsilon Psi chapter serves as the heart of the business community at the University of Washington Bothell and we have dedicated our program to developing future leaders that will make a genuine and lasting impact in the world.

Our chapter consistently offers its members the opportunity to build authentic connections with business leaders from Finance, Marketing, MIS, Accounting, and various other industries through professional development events and networking socials.

For members, there are opportunities each year to travel abroad for the National Leadership conferences, as well as leadership training and lifetime membership.

 

The Pledging Process

application eligibility

  • Must be a Business Administration major, Economics major, or Pre-Major with the intention of Business.

  • Must have at least one academic quarter AFTER pledging semester (students graduating this Autumn 2026 quarter cannot apply)

  • Be enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Washington Bothell

  • All recruits are required to attend at least one of the two Info Nights to be eligible for recruitment

    • Info Night #1 is October 8th at 8pm via zoom

    • Info Night #2 is on October 14th at 8 pm in Disc 162 at UWB

PLEDGE EXPECTATIONS

When you receive an invitation to pledge, you are receiving an invitation to learn and grow alongside your peers throughout an intensive 4-6 week-long process. The process is designed to help you grow personally and professionally, shaping you into a young business professional of the highest caliber.

Pledges are taught about our Fraternity’s history and operational requirements, while honing their soft skills through leadership development and team-building events put on by your Pledge Education team.

Pledges are each paired with a Big Brother, who will act as their mentor during and after their pledging process. At the end of the pledging process, pledges are considered for formal initiation into the chapter.

  • Weekly meetings in person on Tuesdays

  • Online modules and quizzes with a final exam at the end of the process

  • Various events to help you get to know your future brothers!

WHAT CRITERIA ARE USED TO DETERMINE WHO RECEIVES AN INVITATION TO PLEDGE?

We don't adhere to a rigid template for the ideal candidate within our chapter, as we highly prize a variety of skills and perspectives. Nonetheless, we seek individuals who exhibit a proactive mindset, teamwork mentality, and promise for personal, and career advancement.

Some qualities that we look for in recruits include professional aptitude, willingness to learn and contribute, and a high trajectory for growth.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE INVITED TO PLEDGE PER RECRUITMENT CYCLE?

Our chapter doesn't establish a predetermined quota for recruits before recruitment begins. The quantity of invitations we offer fluctuates and is contingent upon the pool of qualified candidates available. In past years, pledge classes have ranged from as few as 10 members to as many as 30 during the autumn recruitment period.
